SNAP (STEP1 Notes And Photos)

There will be multiple sessions covering SNAP. Covering SNAP Level 1, SNAP Level 2 and the advanced capabilities of this product. From beginners to seasoned users there will be something for you here. More info to come.


Credit Card Interface

Learn how STEP1 interfaces with the ChargeItPro credit card system. Card on file, A/R Payments, Point of Sale Swipe, pre-authorization (PrePay) and AutoPay will all be discussed. How the interface will work with Chip Cards will be covered as well.


Supervisor Responsibilities and System Health

This session will cover the day to day responsibilities of the assigned STEP1 Supervisor, the daily requirements for smooth operation of your STEP1 system and what to do/be aware of for a happy, healthy STEP1 system. New procedures for your ‘SNAP Administrator’ (upload emails, etc)


Inventory Strategy

This session will cover how STEP1 manages inventory from initial Order Entry, Purchasing, Shipping, Cycle Counting and Physical Inventory - What you need to do, know and watch for.


Warehouse Manager

This session will review what’s available to you in this important strategic module. Shipping, receiving, building truck runs, checking stock status and other aspects of the WH module will be discussed in detail.


Intermediate & Advanced Purchasing

The purpose of this session is to educate you on how forecasting works in STEP1 Purchasing. In order to understand how STEP1 forecasts, you need to understand each variable that influences the forecasting. As a result, this is an in depth learning session that explains each variable.


G/L Flow through the STEP1 System

This session is a tour of STEP1 from a General Ledger perspective. How transactions from other modules interact with General Ledger. Modifying General Ledger interface accounts and what supervisors and bookkeepers should know about STEP1.


Using STEP1 to make your Bookkeeping better

In this session we will look at the four core bookkeeping modules (AR, AP, AP-Checks and General Ledger) to make sure you are taking advantage of all STEP1 has to offer. We will also review the new SNAP A/R Call Tracking Procedures. This session is targeted at bookkeepers and supervisors.


Order Flow and Order Review

This session shows you best practices for streamlining your order flow, from the point you take the order through shipping it, then billing it. Common ways that companies get trapped with procedures and exceptions that take orders out of best practices are discussed. This session also covers how use STEP1’s Order Review system, which helps you manage the order exceptions that come up every day and require special handling.


Ops Center

This session takes you on a tour of the STEP1 package and reviews major features in the system that your operations people should be using. Great for managers working on getting different departments working together to use recommended best practices throughout STEP1.


Introduction to Service Department

This session will cover Service Department startup considerations as well as typical Service Department functions: Service Orders, Service Manager functions and Warranty Claims.


STEP1 Reporting Capabilities & Query Overview

This beginning level session will cover the multitude of 'built-in' and pre-built reports. You will learn where to look for and how to find all the reports available in the STEP1 system. We will also cover basic use of the Query module for building ad-hoc reports.


Advanced Query & Views

This session will cover advanced Query and SQL techniques and is not recommended for beginners. It will help you get the most out of the new view-based Query module, and give you tools you can use on a daily basis.

What Every Owner & GM needs to know

Key metrics and indicators that you should know about your business. Inventory, meaningful understanding of Gross Profit, average GP/Order, underperforming accounts and more will be discussed. Aimed at Owners and General Managers, but all are welcome to attend.

This session will also show you Web Sales Rep, (our iPad app for sales reps), Web Customer Self Service, our browser or iPad app for customers to place orders utilizing STEP1’s dynamic pricing, virtual catalogs, and more.
